Reading 1, Baruch 1:15-22

15 You must say: Saving justice is the Lord's, we have only the look of shame we bear, as is the case today for the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
16 for our kings and princes, our priests, our prophets, and for our ancestors,
17 because we have sinned before the Lord,
18 have disobeyed him, and have not listened to the voice of the Lord our God telling us to follow the commandments which the Lord had ordained for us.
19 From the day when the Lord brought our ancestors out of Egypt until today we have been disobedient to the Lord our God, we have been disloyal, refusing to listen to his voice.
20 And we are not free even today of the disasters and the curse which the Lord pronounced through his servant Moses the day he brought our ancestors out of Egypt to give us a land flowing with milk and honey.
21 We have not listened to the voice of the Lord our God in all the words of those prophets he sent us;
22 but, each following the dictates of our evil heart, we have taken to serving alien gods, and doing what is displeasing to the Lord our God.

Gospel, Luke 10:13-16

13 'Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 And still, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the Judgement than for you.
15 And as for you, Capernaum, did you want to be raised high as heaven? You shall be flung down to hell.
16 'Anyone who listens to you listens to me; anyone who rejects you rejects me, and those who reject me reject the one who sent me.'

Licha ya maendeleo makubwa ya sayansi na teknolojia duniani, lakini bado kuna umaskini mkubwa wa hali na kipato duniani, changamoto kwa watunga sera na maendeleo ya binadamu kutoa kipaumbele cha kwanza kwa binadamu. Short Cuts Author and Publisher -  Catholic Online Facts Feastday:  October 6 Bruno was born in  Cologne  of the prominent Hartenfaust  family . He studied at the  Cathedral  school at Rheims, and on his return to  Cologne  about 1055, was ordained and became a  Canon  at St. Cunibert's. He returned to Rheims in 1056 as professor of theology, became head of the school the  follow ing year, and remained there until 1074, when he was appointed chancellor of Rheims by its archbishop, Manasses. Bruno was forced to flee Rheims when he and several other priests denounced  Manasses  in 1076 as unfit for the office of Papal Legate. Bruno later returned to  Cologne  but went back to Rheims in 1080 when  Manasses  was deposed, and though the people of Rheims wanted to make Bruno archbishop, he decided to pursue an eremitical life. Prayer of the Day for Wednesday, October 25

Bless Me, O Lord. Heavenly Father, Almighty God, I humble myself before your Presence.  What a joy it is to come to you. I thank you and I praise your infinite Majesty,  Omnipotence and Perfections.  Please forgive me of all my sins.  Lord I come to you in my nothingness.  I want to worship you and adore you,  to love you with all my heart,  with all my mind,  with all my soul  and with all my strength.  I want to burn with desire for you like an angel. I need you my Lord,  I am nothing without you.  I ask you to raise me before your Glory. Shine your light upon me,  allow me to walk with you  and always do your Holy Will. Protect me and bless me O Merciful Lord.  Fill me with your Holy Spirit,  grant me peace, love and joy.  Heal me, bless me and sanctify me O Lord;  make me a blessing for all those around me.  Amen.
